Walton Station

Following our successful campaign to improve accessibility at Walton Station, it was great to join Rail Minister, Huw Merriman, to celebrate the new footbridge with lifts funded by the Government’s £390 million ‘Access for All’ scheme.

The footbridge is due to open in the next few weeks and will be a great addition to Walton Station to help those who use a wheelchair, are pushing a pram, or have heavy shopping use the station.

My plan for our area includes securing better station facilities so it is great news accessibility improvements have been made at Walton Station, but there is still more we can do across our area. That’s why I have written to Huw asking for a similar footbridge to be built at Esher Station. You can read my letter to the Minister below.
