Walton Casuals

Great to meet Ray Hole and the team at Walton Casuals Football College, a local sports college offering a BTEC in sports coaching and performance. We discussed their hugely exciting plans to transform the college into a multi-sport offering for people across Elmbridge. I've worked in education pretty much my whole career, so I'm really excited to help them get the project off the ground.

Although football is currently the focus, the course is crafted to build capacity in sports coaching education and inspire students across all sports. Therefore, by making full use of the facilities on offer at Xcel Sports Hub, Walton Casuals are looking to incorporate swimming and athletics onto the course.

I look forward to supporting Ray and the team as they work to make the most of the fantastic facilities available at the Xcel.

It was brilliant to visit Hurst Park Primary School in Molesey – such a warm, friendly and great school.

Their use of technology was amazing to see. Most lessons use laptops and digital platforms, including using Lego as a way to learn coding!
