Labour have finally u-turned on their decision to slash winter fuel payments for pensioners. But they never should have made that cut in the first place.
Last winter, 23,154 pensioners across Elmbridge were left in the cold. Some struggled to heat their homes. For others, this will have come too late.
And where were the Lib Dems? Nowhere to be seen. They didn't force the Government to u-turn, it was the Conservatives.
