At a recent Full Council meeting, our Liberal Democrat-run Council rejected our balanced budget proposal that focused on many of the issues that local people contact me about all the time:

  • Restoring local community centres that remain partially open after closing nearly two years ago
  • Reducing the Council's planned maximum increase in council tax
  • Investing nearly £400,000 in much needed social housing repairs
  • And supporting dedicated local charities

I'm disappointed our alternative budget was rejected, but we will continue to hold them to account and fight for a well-run council that delivers.
