Extending Zone 6 to all local stations
Zone 6 already covers Thames Ditton and Hampton Court stations. We're campaigning to extend contactless payment to all of our stations to save local commuters money.
Better station facilities
John has successfully campaigned for step-free access at Walton Station, including securing government funding to build a new footbridge with lifts. Lifts at Esher Station and improving Hersham Station are next on his list, as is returning Hampton Court Station to its previous glory.
School crossings to keep local children safe
John successfully campaigned for a safe pedestrian crossing outside Walton Oak School, which was installed in 2023. Zebra crossings are set to be installed outside St Lawrence Junior School and St Alban's Primary School in Molesey over Spring / Summer 2024. Under Our Plan, John will continue to work with Surrey County Council to secure more school crossings around our local schools, and get more potholes repaired across the constituency.
