Extending Zone 6 to all local stations
Zone 6 already covers Thames Ditton and Hampton Court stations. We are working to extend it to all stations in the constituency to save local commuters money on rail fares.
Better station facilities
We secured government funding to build a new footbridge with lifts at Walton station, and submitted a bid for the same to be built at Esher station. Next, we will be meeting with Network Rail and South Western Railway to discuss aspirations for improving facilities at Hersham and Claygate stations.
School crossings to keep local children safe
In 2023, we secured school safety schemes outside Walton Oak and St Lawrence schools, to make the journey to school safe for local children. Under Our Plan, we will continue to work with Surrey County Council to secure more school crossings around our local schools, and get more potholes repaired across the constituency.
